Praised for their “expansive, intercultural Americana”, Calexico has spent the last three decades exploring the musical frontiers of the American Southwest, writing unique, cinematic songs that are as mysterious and magnificent as the arid desert landscapes that inspired them.
Founded in Tucson, Arizona by guitarist/vocalist Joey Burns and drummer John Convertino, Calexico first gained widespread recognition in the 1990s with a series of albums that blurred the lines between their roots, rock and Latin American influences, with 'Feast of Wire' marking their commercial breakthrough.
In 2026, they will further deepen their bond with the Belgian audience with a concert at the Cirque Royal, where they have previously played legendary concerts.
